Welcome to Flaman Physiotherapy: A Different Approach to Injury Recovery in Saskatoon
Welcome to our newly redesigned website—and to something I never thought I’d say:
Welcome to our first blog.
This launch comes alongside the recent expansion of our clinic here in the Lakeview area of Saskatoon, and it marks a new way for us to connect with both current and future patients.
Why We Never Had a Blog Before
To be honest, we’ve avoided blogging for a long time—and there’s a reason for that.
At Flaman Physiotherapy, our focus has always been on individualized care. Every patient we work with has:
- a unique injury
- a unique body
- a unique recovery goal
The nature of most online content—including blogs—is that it has to be generalized.
And that’s something I’ve never been a big fan of.
Because while general advice can sometimes be helpful, it can also be:
- less effective than personalized care
- misleading if applied incorrectly
- or, in some cases, completely wrong for the person reading it
And yes… I realize this might make me sound like I’m shaking my fist and yelling at people to “get off my lawn!”
So Why Start a Blog Now?
Despite my hesitation, I realized something important:
People are searching for answers.
Whether it’s:
- understanding an injury
- deciding if physiotherapy is right for them
- or figuring out what steps to take next
There’s a real need for clear, honest, and experience-based information.
So instead of avoiding it, I decided to approach blogging differently.
Our Approach: Information + Real Support
This blog isn’t here to replace personalized care—it’s here to support better decision-making.
My goal is to:
- give you useful, practical insights
- help you understand your options
- guide you toward the right next step for your situation
But more importantly…
I don’t want this to be a one-way conversation.

Whether you are:
- a current client
- considering physiotherapy

I’ll do my best to give you:
- clear answers

- and direction that actually helps
Because even a little bit of personalized input is more valuable than generic advice.
A Quick Note About Exercises and Online Advice
As we start sharing more content—especially around exercises and rehabilitation—it’s important to set expectations.
Any exercises or techniques shared in this blog are:
- general in nature
- intended for educational purposes only
- meant to help you make informed decisions—not replace professional care
Every injury is different. Every person is different.
That means:

- not all exercises apply to all conditions
- not all advice will be right for you
If you have any pre-existing medical conditions, you should always consult with a healthcare provider before starting a new exercise program.
A Simple Guideline to Follow
If you try any movement:
- start with body weight only
- ensure you can perform it safely
- add resistance gradually
- And remember: more is not always better.
What You Can Expect From This Blog
Moving forward, we’ll be sharing content on:
- common injuries and conditions
- physiotherapy treatment approaches
- exercise and rehabilitation strategies
- insights into how we work as a clinic
- ways to improve recovery and prevent future injuries
The goal is simple:
- Help you make better decisions about your health and recovery.
